Hey guys, welcome to my blog! I’m Kelly and I am 24 years old residing in Dallas, TX! I went to Baylor University and am now back in the DFW area.
I use this blog to write about fashion, styling tips, hair, beauty, and fitness; so basically everything. I absolutely love having a little space on the web where I can connect with y’all and share my passions. I just recently changed my blog name from The Glamorous Teacher to The Glamorous Blonde and I hope y’all are loving the brand change! When I started my blog, I was getting my degree in education. After graduating, I worked at a high school for a year teaching dance and drill team! After a year, I went on to pursue some other dreams… so my blog name didn’t quite fit. I still teach dance at a dance studio and choreograph (see choreography tab), but I am not a full time teacher. I AM, however, a blonde and love all things glamorous…so this name seemed to fit perfectly.
I hope my blog can be a place of positivity, inspiration, and have a community feel. There is nothing I want more than to inspire you and get to know you. Please don’t hesitate to shoot me a DM on instagram or e-mail me. I LOVE to hear from y’all.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are your tips for bloggers? How do you start a blog? First of all, that is so sweet of you to ask! It means so much to me that you love to read my blog and are inspired to create your own. While I love answering these questions, I have been getting quite a bit lately and I should probably just make a blog post about it! There is too much I could say that a simple comment would not do it all justice. As for right now, please e-mail me and we can chat. The more specific your questions, the better I can help!!
How tall are you? I am pretty sure I am 5’4″, but I haven’t measured myself in ages. Does this count as petite?
When did you start your blog? My first blog post was September 2015!
What did you study in college? I studied Secondary Social Studies Education at Baylor University. CRAZY, right?! haha! I really do love history and my dream has always been to teach 11th grade US History. After graduating from college, I was offered a position I just could not say no to; assistant drill team director and dance teacher, another passion of mine. While I loved history, I also loved organizing, dancing, inspiring others, and choreographing. It was such an amazing year of growth, excitement, and my students that year truly impacted me in ways I never imagined.
Are you a dancer? Haha, yes! I started my dance career when I was on Drill Team in high school (hence my first big girl job). When I went to Baylor, I was on the pom squad, the Songleaders. My last year I served as a captain. Currently, I dance for the Dallas Mavericks. #dreamcometrue #MFFL
Hair?? I currently have microbead extensions in my hair and I love them. If you are in Dallas and want add some volume or length to your hair, I highly suggest going to my amazing girl. If you mention my name, you get 20% off ANY service (cut, color, extensions, you name it!). Read more about that on this post here.
How do you do your makeup? It changes all the time, but I do have a couple makeup tutorials on my YouTube chanel. Check out my recent one here!
I love your outfit! Where is it from? Everything I post on Instagram or on my blog is either linked in the caption or on Liketoknow.It. Be sure to follow me there for exclusive access, first looks, and some items that I only post on there!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Love you all so much!
